Sometimes life brings enormous pain
Although for me each day’s the same
There’s neither spring nor a sunny day
Tears don’t dry up as dark clouds stay
Just yesterday the flowers bloomed
But with the heat they withered soon
The lovely sight is gone for good
Nothing is left to cheer one’s mood
The laughter in my heart is dead
So is the love that was once there

A wall’s been built, none can come near
Outside my world is warm and gay
It’s full of love like the month of May
